Ullerup's initial role was of Julia Brynn on the remake the television show Battlestar Galactica in 2006, that aired on Sci Fi Channel. Ullerup played Ashley Magnus on the Sanctuary show on television in the first season and the second one until the show was cancelled. It was her exit that led to heated discussion among fans. There was a desire to have the character back for a future episodes, but the show was terminated in 2012. Ullerup appeared in Chesapeake Shores as Bree O'Brien. Ullerup was played by Maggie Thomas, Michael Thomas the estranged wife, for Asteroid: Final Impact (2005). Since 2016, Ullerup is seen in a frequent character as Dale Travers in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered movies series.
